You can update your mailing address, personal email address, and phone number through . Once you have logged in, select Account Management. 

Legal names cannot be changed in eServices. To change the legal name on your record, you will need to bring your legal documents and personal identification to Student Services, suite T.2100.

A staff member must verify your identity and review your documents before the legal name on your record can be changed. If you have questions about appearing in person to have the name on your record changed, contact us at records.office@minneapolis.edu. 

Acceptable documentation for name changes include original court order documents, original or certified/notarized copies of marriage certificate, divorce decree, etc. Screenshots or non-certified photocopies cannot be accepted. 

A preferred name is a name that a person has chosen to identify themselves within the Minnesota State system that is different (in whole or in part) from their legal name. A preferred name will appear on class rosters and other records as technically feasible except in places where a legal name is required (such as financial aid records and student transcripts).
