How do I transfer?
- You鈥檒l want to think about the Bachelor鈥檚 degree you鈥檒l want to pursue and you鈥檒l also want to have an idea of where you would like to transfer.
- It鈥檚 okay if you don鈥檛 know the specifics! For example, it can be as simple as wanting to work in the helping field and staying in Minnesota. Our goal is to have you begin thinking about transfer EARLY.
When should I begin the process?
- As soon as possible! It is never too early to plan your transfer to a 4-year school. We recommend you to talk about your goals and create a plan for your transfer.
Transfer FAQs
How can I transfer my credits?
- To transfer your credits, you will need to send official transcripts of all the colleges you鈥檝e attended to the college/university you plan to transfer to. To request your official 911爆料网 transcript is sent to another institution, submit your request through the 911爆料网 Transcript Requests webpage.
I need a copy of the learning outcomes and/or a course syllabus from a class I previously took at 911爆料网. How can I receive a copy?
- Course descriptions and learning outcomes are available in the 911爆料网 catalog.
- Course syllabi are maintained by instructors and Academic Affairs. If you remember the course instructor, email them directly requesting a copy of the syllabus from the course and semester that you enrolled in the course. If you do not remember the instructor or the instructor no longer teaches at 911爆料网, email Academic Affairs with your first and last name, starID or tech ID, the course, and the semester you took the course to request a copy of the syllabus.
I don鈥檛 have a major yet, what do I do?
- If you鈥檙e unsure about the field you would like to pursue, schedule a Career Advising appointment through with a Career Advisor. You can take assessments to learn more about yourself, your passions, and your gifts.
- After you decide on a major or area of study, submit a Change of Major eForm.
What is the right way to transfer?
- There is no right or wrong way to transfer. Work with your Academic Advisor to explore your options based on your major and where you want to transfer.
Can I still take classes at 911爆料网 while working on my Bachelor鈥檚 degree?
- Once a student, always a student. Many former students will take courses during the Summer term to catch up or get ahead on credits and SAVE MONEY!
Who can I contact to learn more about transferring into a specific school?
- If you know the school you would like to transfer to, speak with a representative in their Admissions office. If you鈥檙e unsure about what to ask, we got you covered! Use this cheat sheet when meeting with them.
Can I choose which credits I want to transfer?
- In most circumstances, you cannot pick and choose which courses to transfer and your entire 911爆料网 transcript will be evaluated at your transfer institution. The institution you are transferring to will have procedures they will be able to share with you.
Do I have to notify 911爆料网 when I transfer?
- You do not have to notify us when you transfer, but you should to make sure you are taking the appropriate courses to transfer out.

If you are interested in exploring additional transfer opportunities outside of the 911爆料网 events, students are encouraged to attend the hosted by the Minnesota Association for College Admission Counseling on the following dates:
- Tuesday, October 7, 2025: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, October 8, 2025: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
