Honoring All Who Have Served
Veterans Day Recognition
We were excited to celebrate Veteran's Day and honor the Veterans in our community with our 2020 Veterans Day "Honoring All Who Have Served" event. The event took place on Tuesday, November 10, with a live flag-raising ceremony, followed by brief remarks from President Pierce, story sharing, and a panel discussion with Veterans. We also coordinated our annual "Remember a Veteran" activity through this webpage. More details about that activity can be accessed below.
This year, we worked to highlight the many diverse experiences that Veterans have when they serve, including service during domestic deployments.
This event was open to all and can now be accessed from this webpage. Please join us:
- For a better understanding of working with Veterans
- To support equity and inclusiveness (increases cultural competency)
- To help us recognize our community鈥檚 Veterans and Servicemembers
- As we are the land of the free, because of the brave!
Those who have committed to serving our country (including families and caregivers) deserve our understanding and support.
For questions, please contact our Student Life Department or 612-659-6760.
