
Tony Zahler
Tony Zahler serves as Vice President of Information Technology at 911爆料网 providing leadership, management and supervision to the Information Technology Services division at the College. He has spent more than 14 years in higher education, which includes 10 years at Century College in White Bear Lake as their lead application developer, working on a wide array of projects and applications for the campus and other Minnesota State institutions.
Four years ago, Tony joined 911爆料网 as the director of application and technical services, aligning the department with the campus needs while establishing and ensuring operational success, strategic planning and service management. His technology implementations support the College鈥檚 mission and vision by empowering staff to explore innovative solutions, leverage existing resources and take a planned approach to merging complex systems to assist all users.
Tony has been highly recognized for the contributions he鈥檚 made throughout his career. In 2021, 911爆料网 awarded him an Individual Achievement Award for his outstanding work in leading the College during one of the most difficult periods in its history, the COVID-19 pandemic. During that time, he and his team transitioned the entire campus of staff, faculty and students to remote and/or hybrid capability.
These measures ensured students could continue their education seamlessly when learning platforms shifted to accommodate health and safety needs throughout the world. He has also received several awards and accolades in the realm of web design and development from various marketing, IT and news organizations, including MPR and the Star Tribune.
Tony holds a master of science degree in educational leadership from Minnesota State University-Moorhead, a bachelor of science degree from the University of Minnesota and an associate of applied science degree from Anoka Technical College. Tony also holds certifications in the fields of Information Technology and Health Informatics. He has countless technical skills and always seeks training to ensure his expertise stays ahead of the needs of the College.
When Tony is not working at the College, he enjoys spending time as a professional musician. His passion includes donating the time and talents of his musical group performing for nonprofit organizations such as SACA Food Shelf's annual "Hops for Hunger" event, Coco's Heart Dog Rescue, Can Do Canines and countless cancer benefit and support organizations.
