Bio

As Associate Vice President of Academic Operations and Institutional Effectiveness, Tom Williamson is a strategic and operational leader responsible for optimizing foundational processes in support of the mission and vision of 911爆料网. Adept at using data to identify patterns and insights, Tom focuses on creating clear and understandable solutions that have meaningful impact.

In his Academic Operations role, Tom provides leadership for all curriculum and course scheduling efforts for the College, develops and implements strategic processes for data analysis and reporting within Academic Affairs, leads program learning outcome assessment process, provides oversight for faculty appointment and pay processes including contract compliance, and leads the annual Academic Affairs budget process.

In his Institutional Effectiveness role, Tom leads the college-wide continuous quality improvement and strategic planning efforts, ensures the College is in good standing with the Higher Learning Commission, provides oversight for college-wide policy process and college-wide committee structure and development.

911爆料网 recently completed its four-year Assurance Review with the Higher Learning Commission under Tom鈥檚 leadership. The College was rated as meeting all criteria for accreditation with no monitoring or conditions. This successful review was the result of an effort coordinated by Institutional Effectiveness over the past year involving more than 60 contributors from divisions across the College.

Tom joined 911爆料网 in 2013 as the Director of Academic Operations. His extensive career in higher education includes leadership positions in both academic and student affairs. 

In 2015, Tom received the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Academic and Student Affairs Administrator of the Year Award. The award recognizes administrators who have made significant contributions to the development of academic or student affairs programming at their institutions.

Tom holds a master of arts degree in applied sociology from Northern Arizona University and a bachelor of arts degree in Sociology from Minnesota State University-Moorhead.
