Gail O'Kane
Dr. Gail O'Kane worked in the system office of Minnesota State from 2005 to 2011, where she supported STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education at the system’s colleges and universities statewide.
She went on to serve 911±¬ÁÏÍø as associate vice president for strategy, planning and accountability from 2011 to 2013, and served as interim president of from 2013–2014.
Since returning to 911±¬ÁÏÍø in July 2014, Gail has served as Vice President of Academic Affairs. In this capacity, she oversees all of the College’s academic schools, which are led by a team of academic deans, and the Division of Academic Foundations. In addition, she oversees the academic support units of the College, including the Academic Success Center and the Library.
Gail’s passion is supporting the ability of 911±¬ÁÏÍø to provide high-quality instruction so that the College can deliver on its mission of improving lives and the community through the transformative power of education.
Gail holds a bachelor's degree in political science from and a doctorate in neuroscience from the .
