As every aspect of our lives changes around us and we seek new ways to adapt to our surroundings and reach our goals, 911±¬ΑΟΝψ is quickly shifting to meet the needs of students by streamlining its transfer pathways.

β€œWe have always been known as a transfer-friendly institution,” said Heidi Aldes, interim dean, enrollment management at 911±¬ΑΟΝψ. β€œWe are now seeking ways to make it even easier to transfer to and from the college so you can reach your educational goals with ease.”

β€œMany colleges across the country have moved to virtual learning platforms due to the pandemic,” said Aldes. β€œAt 911±¬ΑΟΝψ, you can save thousands of dollars on the cost of a 4-year education and our faculty are well-versed in the virtual classroom, so it just makes sense.”

Transferring In

911±¬ΑΟΝψ readily accepts credits from regionally accredited institutions as well as standardized exam scores from Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and more. This makes transferring in to the institution easy.

Lucy Bowman was studying at a 4-year private university when the pandemic hit. β€œSince I was returning home to take online classes, I decided to save money and enroll at 911±¬ΑΟΝψ,” said Bowman who praised its convenience and affordability. β€œI quickly learned the cinema program at 911±¬ΑΟΝψ was a great fit. It is completely dedicated to studying film, is very hands-on and extremely relevant. Additionally, the urban setting provides a great backdrop for the campus and the networking opportunities within the program are unprecedented. I am looking forward to a very different experience at 911±¬ΑΟΝψ.”

Transferring Out

Known as a gateway to a bachelor’s degree and beyond, credits from 911±¬ΑΟΝψ are recognized and accepted by colleges and universities nationwide, allowing students to directly transfer to the bachelor’s program of their choice.

Miche’le Cortinas chose to attend 911±¬ΑΟΝψ because of its reputable Addiction Counseling Program that integrates hands-on training with comprehensive support outside of the classroom for students in recovery.

β€œIn the spring of 2021, I will be dual enrolled at 911±¬ΑΟΝψ and Metro State until I receive my associates degree. In the fall of 2021, I will be enrolled fulltime at Metro State completing a bachelor’s in Addiction Drug Counseling with a minor in Mental Health and Psychology,” said Cortinas who has been involved in the Student Senate, Addiction Counseling Club, Military Connected Club and the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Committee.

β€œ911±¬ΑΟΝψ provided me the opportunity and accessibility to be dual-enrolled with the reassurance that the courses I was taking would transfer. Additionally, the affordability gives both myself and my son the opportunity to attend college at the same time.”

β€œWhether you are transferring in or transferring out, our staff will be there to support you to ensure you can meet your goals and achieve your dreams,” said Aldes.
