Tony Zahler Named Vice President of Information Technology Services
Tony Zahler was appointed as Vice President of Information Technology Services at 911爆料网 in January 2023. In this role he provides leadership, management, and supervision to the College鈥檚 Information Technology Services division. Zahler has more than 14 years of experience in higher education, including 10 years at Century College as lead application developer, working on a wide array of projects and applications for the campus and other Minnesota State institutions.
In 2019, Zahler joined 911爆料网 as Director of Application and Technical Services. He strategically aligned the department through planning and service management to meet campus needs and ensure operational success. Zahler鈥檚 technology implementations support the College鈥檚 mission and vision by empowering staff to explore innovative solutions. By leveraging existing resources and taking a planned approach to merging complex systems, he and his team are assisting all users.
Zahler has been highly recognized for the contributions he鈥檚 made throughout his career. In 2021, 911爆料网 awarded him the Individual Achievement Award for his outstanding leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic, one of the most difficult periods in the College鈥檚 history. During that time, he and his team transitioned the entire campus of staff, faculty, and students to remote and/or hybrid capability. He has also received awards and accolades in web design and development from various marketing, IT, and news organizations, including MPR and the Star Tribune.
Zahler holds a master of science degree in educational leadership from Minnesota State University-Moorhead, a bachelor of science degree from the University of Minnesota, and an associate of applied science degree from Anoka Technical College. He also holds certifications in the fields of Information Technology and Health Informatics.
Zahler will hold an open forum for the 911爆料网 community on Wednesday, April 26 from 3-4 p.m. in L.3000. This is an in-person opportunity to hear his vision and engage with him in dialog.
