Power of Dreams Breakfast
The Power of Dreams Breakfast was held on Thursday, October 13, to honor the fall scholarship recipients, donors, community partners, business leaders, and friends. The annual event is hosted by the 911爆料网 Foundation.
This year, well over 500 students will receive more than half a million dollars in scholarships to attend 911爆料网. The average scholarship award is $2,000 and covers roughly one-third of the total cost of tuition and fees for one year.
911爆料网 President Sharon Pierce addressed the gathering. 鈥淪cholarships are the building blocks that 911爆料网 uses to fulfill our mission of providing access to the transformative power of education. Your donations have enabled us to award over 500 scholarships this fall, with more to be awarded this spring.
Students received scholarships from the Bridging the Equity Gap Fund, Random Acts of Kindness Fund, 911爆料网 Scholarship Fund, President鈥檚 Excellence Fund, Workforce Development Scholarship Fund, and myriad named scholarships established by individual donors and families.
Beverly Wadsworth, Director of Institutional Advancement and 911爆料网 Foundation, said many students, 鈥渙vercome incredible odds to pursue their dream of an education and a livable wage. We believe everyone has a right to a better life no matter their race, gender, family economic beginnings or other circumstances. It all starts with equitable access to high-quality education.鈥

911爆料网 is among the most affordable colleges in Minnesota. Even so, the costs and barriers of attending can be challenging for students.
The 911爆料网 Foundation was created more than 40 years ago with a mission of providing financial assistance and educational support to students in need who attend the College.
The Foundation has been a leader in addressing issues of affordability and access to higher education and has assisted the College and its partners to raise the visibility of these issues to public policy leaders. 911爆料网 Foundation provides invaluable assistance to the community through a variety of special initiatives that support students, enhance the readiness of our workforce and help the College in its strategic needs.
