Please join us for a special celebration and the official unveiling of the new Art from the Inside art collection purchased by the 911±¬ÁÏÍø Library last spring! 

Thursday, September 25 from 3–4:30 p.m. in the Library

This powerful collection features works created by artists who are currently or formerly incarcerated in Minnesota correctional facilities. Many of the pieces were purchased from the historic exhibition, which was displayed in the office of the Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison for most of 2024. 

Presented in partnership with –the advocacy group that brought the exhibition to life–this event will include:

  • A short program featuring guest speakers from AFTI and stories from the artists
  • An opportunity to view the new collection in a special gallery and participate in community dialogue
  • A chance to engage with new educational resources created by the Minneapolis Library for the event
  • Snacks and refreshments
